Project Coordinator – Commercial & Industrial Construction

MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Project Coordinator on behalf of a growing and well-established multidisciplinary construction company supporting commercial and industrial projects across the Lower Mainland.

This opportunity is ideal for a highly organized construction professional who enjoys being involved in the day-to-day coordination of projects while working closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and consultants in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role supporting project execution through document control, cost tracking, scheduling coordination, subcontractor communication, and overall project administration from pre-construction through closeout.

The Role

The Project Coordinator will support the construction team through all phases of project delivery, ensuring projects remain organized, documented, and on schedule.

This position works closely with Project Managers, Site Superintendents, subcontractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to help maintain project budgets, schedules, documentation, and communication across active construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers and site teams throughout all phases of construction
• Coordinate project documentation including RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, site instructions, and change orders
• Maintain drawing logs, revision control, and document tracking systems
• Assist with project scheduling, procurement, and subcontractor coordination
• Organize and distribute meeting minutes and project updates
• Support cost tracking, invoice review, and project reporting
• Assist with QA/QC documentation and project closeout procedures
• Coordinate safety documentation and project compliance requirements
• Monitor project progress, timelines, and deliverables using project management software
• Support communication between field teams, consultants, clients, and subcontractors

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience within commercial or industrial construction environments
• Experience working in a Project Coordinator or construction administration role
• Strong understanding of construction project coordination processes
• Experience with document control, cost tracking, and subcontractor coordination
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Familiarity with scheduling software such as Primavera P6 is considered an asset
• Understanding of QA/QC processes, contract administration, and project documentation
• LEED experience or certification considered an asset
• Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or related education preferred
