On behalf of our client, Matchbox Consulting is seeking a AP/AR Clerk to join their growing team in Vancouver, BC. Our client is active in acquisition, redevelopment, leasing and management of a wide variety of commercial and residential real estate for over 50 years. 

Core Responsibilities

• Full cycle of accounts payable by processing payments, verifying and reconciling invoices, including the verification of rates on the invoices, obtaining approvals.
• Data entry of invoices in an accurate and timely manner
• Communicate with vendors regarding invoice and statement discrepancies, and missing invoices.
• Print cheques, send them for signature and mail them to suppliers.
• Reconciliation of accounts payable vendor balances, and review balances over 90 days outstanding.
• Government filings such as GST, PST.
• Reconciliation of and bank accounts.
• Prepare related party invoices and payments.
• Maintain organized and accurate records of financial transactions.
• Assist with the year-end audit process including preparation of working paper and analysis.
• Assist in preparation of CAM budgets and reconciliations.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required

Experience Required:

• About 1 year of Accounts Payable experience is preferred.
• Experience within a high-volume environment.
• Solid attention to detail, proactively following up when needed to ensure outstanding information or actions are completed on time.
• Analytical skills to interpret financial data and identify discrepancies.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter who will take ownership of responsibilities, knows when to ask for help and is comfortable doing so
