MatchBox Consulting Group is on the hunt for a Registered Architect to join our client, an award-winning architectural and interior design firm, located in Edmonton, AB.

The Architect can come in as second in charge at the office, taking on a major leadership role, with the ability to work towards Managing Principal. This position offers a competitive compensation package, a relaxed environment with a lot of autonomy over your own work, and a tight knit, supportive team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support and execute implementation of projects as directed
• Prepare and develop design concepts from pre-design to design development
• Provides code analysis
• Assure the established design concept meets outlined project scope and budget, assures production of all deliverables will meet schedule or determined milestones according to project plan
• Engages and collaborates with engineers in support of holistic project approach and cost efficient solutions
• Works from sketches, notes and other input material to produce computer-generated models, concepts, overlays and completed drawings
• Has the ability to co-ordinate and mentor junior staff and delegate work (CAD and design/detailing)

Requirements:

• 6+ years of professional architectural design experience
• Registered with the Alberta Association of Architects
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
