MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking an Intermediate Architectural Technologist to join our client in Calgary, AB.
Our client is a well-established architecture and interior design firm with studios in Edmonton, Red Deer, Calgary, Saskatoon, and Ottawa. They boast a diverse portfolio encompassing projects of various scales and sectors, including recreational, commercial, civic, and educational.
Responsibilities:
- Manages project schedules, work plans, budgets, and contract documents; conducts on-site verifications and coordinates documents from various disciplines.
- Collaborates on design issues, prepares contract documents, reviews building codes, designs complex building elements, and ensures energy performance compliance.
- Creates sketches, prepares Building Permit applications, and communicates with authorities.
- Leads or supports contract administration, attends site meetings, reviews shop drawings, responds to contractor queries, and updates record drawings.
- Participates in QA/QC processes, develops technical standards, leads initiatives, and works independently.
- Mentors junior staff, assists with office duties, and supports various project tasks.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in the design, architectural, or engineering industry.
- Post-secondary diploma from an accredited school or an Architectural Technology program.
- Proficient with Revit.
- Training in architectural technology, building technical design, and construction.
