MatchBox Consulting Group is currently searching for a Civil Engineer for one of our clients who is a well-established engineering firm whose expertise spans a wide range of services, from municipal infrastructure design and land development to water and wastewater management, environmental engineering, and urban planning.

This role prioritizes a balance between technical abilities and cultural fit, emphasizing customer service, sound judgment, and a connection to interior BC or a strong desire to live there.

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver municipal and land development projects, including road and pump station designs.
• Prepare technical documents such as calculations, cost estimates, and regulatory approvals.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure the smooth delivery of municipal and land development projects.
• Support construction management, field inspections, contract administration, and client communications.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, focusing on customer service and project outcomes.
• Work closely with senior engineers, technologists, and other team members to foster a collaborative project environment.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of progressive civil engineering experience, ideally in land development or municipal infrastructure.
• Registered or eligible for registration as an EIT or Professional Engineer with EGBC.
• Experience in road designs, pump station designs, and municipal engineering.
• Strong focus on customer service and relationship-building with clients.
• Familiarity with WaterCAD, PCSWMM, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and/or ESRI is an asset.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to live and work in the BC interior.
