Matchbox Consulting Group is seeking a Controller. Our client is a leading has been building in the lower mainland of British Columbia for 60+ years. They have established a reputation for quality workmanship, performance and fairness that is admired and acknowledged by the industry.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and present accurate financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Develop and manage the annual budget, forecasting future financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and file tax returns as needed.
• Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and provide actionable insights to management.
• Manage financial audits and coordinate with external auditors for annual audits.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
• Assist in project cost management for construction and real estate development projects, including tracking budgets, expenses, and progress.
• Collaborate with senior management to evaluate financial risks and opportunities for growth.
• Provide support for strategic business planning, financial modeling, and investment analysis

Requirements

• CPA designation 
• 5+ years experience in senior accounting roles.
• Previous construction related accounting experience.
