Corporate Accounting Manager

Real Estate Investment & Property Management | Vancouver, BC

MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Corporate Accounting Manager for a growing, well-established real estate investment and property management group based in Vancouver.

This is a high-impact accounting role for someone who wants more than a narrow reporting seat. You will work across multiple entities, support corporate accounting, cash flow, tax, budgeting, forecasting, lender reporting, and asset-level financial reporting, while partnering closely with senior leadership on both day-to-day finance operations and longer-term strategic initiatives.

What You’ll Be Doing

Corporate Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for multiple corporate entities
• Manage weekly corporate cash flow reporting and forecasting
• Prepare corporate tax returns, supporting schedules, and tax working papers
• Support quarterly forecasts, long-term financial forecasts, and tax planning deliverables
• Assist with corporate budgets, overhead tracking, and variance analysis
• Maintain strong financial controls, reporting discipline, and statutory compliance across the group

Real Estate & Asset Reporting

• Prepare monthly asset management reporting packages, including budget vs. actual analysis, cash flow reporting, and annual operating budgets
• Support annual lender reporting and CMHC reporting requirements
• Coordinate Empty Homes Tax and Speculation & Vacancy Tax filings
• Assist with investor reporting and financial updates for managed properties
• Provide clear, accurate financial information to support asset management and executive decision-making

Operations, Compliance & Special Projects

• Help improve accounting policies, procedures, systems, and internal reporting processes
• Assist with insurance applications, corporate compliance, and entity maintenance
• Register GST and corporate tax accounts for new entities
• Support entity windups, dissolutions, amalgamations, and corporate restructuring tasks
• Contribute to special projects, process improvements, and strategic finance initiatives as required

What We’re Looking For

• CPA designation preferred
• 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience
• Experience in real estate, development, property management, investment, or multi-entity accounting is a strong asset
• Strong working knowledge of corporate accounting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and tax compliance
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with leadership, external advisors, lenders, and internal teams
• A practical, hands-on accounting professional who can operate in an entrepreneurial environment
