MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Corporate Accounting Manager to join our client, a growing and well-established real estate investment and property management group based in Vancouver, BC. The Corporate Accounting Manager will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of the organization through corporate accounting, financial reporting, cash flow management, tax compliance, budgeting, and forecasting across multiple entities.

Key Responsibilities

Corporate Accounting & Reporting

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for multiple entities
• Manage weekly corporate cash flow reporting and forecasting
• Prepare corporate tax returns and supporting tax working papers
• Assist with quarterly forecasting, long-term forecasting, and tax planning deliverables
• Support preparation and tracking of corporate budgets and overhead expenses
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, tax filings, and statutory reporting requirements

Real Estate & Asset Reporting

• Prepare monthly asset management reporting packages including:
  • Budget vs. Actual reporting
  • Cash flow reporting
  • Annual operating budgets
• Assist with annual lender and CMHC reporting requirements
• Coordinate Empty Homes Tax and Speculation & Vacancy Tax filings
• Assist with investor reporting for properties under management

Operations & Finance Support

• Support implementation and improvement of accounting policies, procedures, and systems
• Assist with insurance applications and corporate compliance requirements
• Register GST and corporate tax accounts for new entities
• Assist with entity windups, dissolutions, and amalgamations
• Support special projects and strategic finance initiatives as required

Qualifications

• CPA designation preferred
• 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience
• Experience within real estate, development, property management, or multi-entity environments is considered an asset
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, corporate accounting, and tax compliance
• Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical and organizational abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a collaborative environment
