Electrical Construction Project Manager – Victoria, BC (Vancouver Island)

MatchBox Consulting Group is working with a well-established electrical contractor delivering commercial, institutional, and infrastructure projects across Victoria and Vancouver Island.

This is not a paper-pushing PM role. You will own projects end-to-end — from pricing and planning through execution and close-out — working closely with field teams and leadership who come from the trade.

If you understand how electrical jobs actually get built, this will feel like a step forward.

The Role

You will take ownership of electrical scopes across active and upcoming projects, driving coordination, financial performance, and delivery.

You’ll be working directly with foremen, supers, GCs, consultants, and ownership — not buried behind layers.

What you’ll be doing:

• Run electrical scopes from award through completion
• Work closely with field teams to drive execution and productivity
• Manage budgets, forecasting, and cost control
• Review drawings, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
• Plan procurement of materials and key equipment
• Keep schedules aligned with GCs and other trades
• Support commissioning, inspections, and turnover

What They’re Looking For

• Experience running electrical construction projects (commercial, institutional, or infrastructure)
• Strong understanding of how electrical work is actually built
• Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and subcontractors
• Confident communicator with field teams, consultants, and clients
• Organized, practical, and solutions-focused
