MatchBox is seeking an Estimator (Intermediate–Senior) | Civil / Earthworks

Full-Time | In-Office

The Role

You will own estimating.

This is not a layered department. You are the estimating function.
You will price work from $250K to $5M+ across civil, earthworks, and ground improvement scopes.

You will track opportunities, build bids, and help shape how the company grows.

What You’ll Do

• Run full-cycle estimates: takeoffs, pricing, submissions
• Review drawings, specs, and scopes with a critical eye
• Build accurate quantities and cost models
• Analyze risk, sequencing, and constructability
• Work directly with ownership on bid strategy
• Coordinate suppliers, subs, and pricing inputs
• Manage multiple tenders at once
• Track and pursue opportunities (BuildConnect, etc.)

What They’re Looking For

• 3–8+ years in civil, earthworks, or underground utilities
• Strong takeoff and quantity experience
• Comfortable working independently — no handholding
• Solid with drawings, specs, and bid documents
• Experience with Bluebeam, Agtek, Timberline, or similar
• Detail-oriented, organized, accountable
