MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Formwork Draftsperson / Designer to join our client, a well-established specialist concrete contractor based in Vancouver. This role is ideal for someone with strong reinforced concrete and formwork design experience who enjoys working closely with operations teams to develop practical and efficient formwork solutions on large-scale construction projects.

You will work alongside experienced project and field teams while contributing to the planning and execution of major reinforced concrete builds using industry-leading formwork systems. Responsibilities

• Produce formwork layout drawings and erection drawings for reinforced concrete structures
• Design formwork systems utilizing Doka equipment including: Framax, Frami, Top 50, Dokaflex, Shoring systems
• Develop formwork solutions based on structural drawings and construction sequencing
• Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and field operations teams to ensure constructability
• Prepare drawing packages for third-party engineer review and sealing
• Assist with formwork quantity takeoffs and material planning
• Coordinate with suppliers, engineers, and external consultants as required
• Support planning and execution of technically challenging concrete structures

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in formwork design, structural drafting, or concrete construction drafting
• Strong familiarity with Doka, Peri, Aluma, or similar formwork systems
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar drafting software
• Strong understanding of reinforced concrete construction and sequencing
• Experience preparing drawings for engineer review and sealed submissions is considered an asset
• Ability to coordinate effectively with both office and field teams
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Experience working on high-rise, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure concrete projects is preferred
