Contract Journeyman Electrician – Commercial Projects – Immediate Start!

MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Contract Journeyman Electrician on behalf of a growing electrical contractor supporting commercial and tenant improvement projects across Metro Vancouver.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced commercial electrician looking for contract work within a fast-paced and team-oriented environment. The company maintains a strong pipeline of commercial work and is seeking someone who can step into an active project and start IMMEIDATELY.

The successful candidate will join an experienced team delivering commercial electrical installations within retail and tenant improvement environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform commercial electrical installations and project work
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and the Canadian Electrical Code
• Coordinate effectively with site teams and project leadership
• Maintain organized and efficient work areas
• Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues as required
• Support project timelines and day-to-day site operations

Qualifications

• Red Seal / Journeyman Electrician Certification required
• Minimum 5+ years of commercial electrical experience
• Previous experience within commercial TI or retail environments preferred
• Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems and installations
• Ability to work independently within active construction environments
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Professional and reliable work ethic

Compensation

• Hourly range: approximately $40–$45/hour depending on experience
• Opportunity to work with an established commercial electrical team
• Potential for future project opportunities based on performance
