Matchbox Consulting Group is seeking a Junior Control Systems Engineer to work on a 1 year contract, with a high potential of renewal, for one of BC's largest and most well-known utility companies. 

Specifically, this candidate will take on an Operational Technology (OT) services Engineering role which has special emphasis on the design and support of the industrial networks at the Generating stations and integration of Industrial Control Systems. The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team of 10 Engineers and IT Advisors that interacts with internal and external stakeholder resources in delivering a number of projects or initiatives related to Generation Infrastructure and Cyber Security.

This is a hybrid role based out of our client's Burnaby office.

Responsibilities: 
• Support Generation Capital projects from design to implementation phase
• Update Network infrastructure Engineering Drawings using AutoCAD
• Configure and integrate intelligent electronic devices
• Participate in the development of job aids and/or engineering standards
• Participate in FAT testing of the communication/network cabinets
• Support field personnel during upgrades to the plant industrial networks
• Host meetings, take minutes, and track action items to completion

Requirements: 
• Registered Engineer-in-Training with Engineers & Geoscientists BC or another jurisdiction and/or eligible for registration as such with Engineers & Geoscientists BC
• University degree in Applied Science or Engineering
• Familiarity with CAD systems
• Attention to detail, and the ability to learn and apply new skills as required.
• Good problem-solving, organizational, communication, interpersonal skills.

Nice to have
• Intermediate MS Excel skills
