Calling all Civil Engineers with municipal and land development experience!

Responsibilities:

  • Provide detailed design support in the production of engineering designs, drawings and specifications; meeting all client and approval agency requirements, including new municipal utilities and road works,  local government utility rehabilitation and renewal projects, and land development projects
  • Coordinate and assist in the preparation of documents required for approvals, calculations, prepare development and construction cost estimates, tender documents and contracts
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure schedules, budgets and quality control standards are achieved
  • Manage client communications and ensure all client requirements are met throughout the design and reporting process
  • Provides technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and technical staff.

Requirements: 

  • 5+ years of experience in land development and municipal engineering 
  • Experience with active transportation systems like complete streets or municipal pathways is an asset
  • Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
  • Registration in good standing as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in Alberta or other provincial regulator
  • Proficiency in the application of design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, water and sewer modeling commercial software, Excel, and/or other related software
  • High productivity, attention to detail, effective verbal and written communication skills, and an ability to work well in a team environment
  • Experience with all government levels, construction contractors and approving authorities
  • Ability to travel for occasional site visits
  • Experience working in a construction or consulting environment is an asset
