MatchBox Consulting Group is currently seeking a Project Manager for a 6 month contract role with a client of ours located in the Lower Mainland

Responsibilities:

  • Leading the planning, execution and delivery of all assigned projects – focused primarily on Retail people programming workstreams; ensuring they are delivered on-time, on-budget and in line with our standard operating principles
  • Maintaining a prioritized outline of projects, milestones, action items and status report for all assigned projects, while ensuring all Program Managers and partners know and understand their accountabilities, related timelines, deliverables and dependencies
  • Developing and maintaining project plans and timelines specific to the projects that you are leading
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key partners across the organization
  • Coordinating and communicating effectively with leadership, project partners, cross-functional teams and external vendors to ensure visibility, engagement and on-going alignment
  • Identifying and managing project risks and recommending mitigation strategies
  • Ensuring project documentation is well-documented, current and complete
  • Collaborating within the People Operations team to continuously evolve operational and project management practices, tools, process and workflow

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in Project Management, and ideally a degree or diploma in project management
  • Relentless attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines
  • Expert in verbal and written communication, with the ability to provide insights and guide work across the department, leadership levels and business areas
  • Ideally have experience in People and Culture (Human Resources) related programming such as learning & development, total rewards, people analytics, talent management, systems and/or operations programs in a global business landscape
  • Retail industry experience, and/or familiarity with Retail
  • Operations and Retail people-related programming
  • Ability to influence and guide without direct control
  • Proficient in creating, organizing and leading efficient and effective workflow and project plans
  • Advanced experience using project management platforms and tools (Monday.com, Miro, Smartsheet, etc)
  • Proficient in budget management, financial tracking and reporting
  • Collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment to drive results
  • Capable of finding simple, scalable solutions for complex problems and developing others to do the same
  • Proficient in managing a portfolio of projects and leading change through others
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build, maintain, and influence relationships at all levels
  • Proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
  • Strong computer skills (especially Microsoft Excel, Miro and PowerPoint)
