Summary

MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Recruitment Consultant on behalf of our client. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced talent acquisition professional who enjoys partnering with business leaders, developing sourcing strategies, and delivering an exceptional candidate experience throughout the full recruitment lifecycle.

Working closely with hiring managers and HR partners, you’ll manage end-to-end recruitment activities, build strong talent pipelines, and provide consultative support to help attract and hire top talent across a variety of business functions.

Location: Calgary, AB (Hybrid)
Job Type: 6-Month Contract

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing through offer and onboarding support.
  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans using social media, referrals, networking, talent databases, and market research.
  • Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
  • Screen, interview, and assess candidates using behavioural interviewing techniques.
  • Present qualified candidate shortlists and recruitment recommendations to hiring managers.
  • Partner closely with business leaders and HR teams to understand workforce needs and develop effective hiring strategies.
  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience through proactive communication and relationship management.
  • Monitor recruitment metrics, identify hiring trends, and recommend process improvements.
  • Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives through inclusive sourcing and recruitment practices.
  • Continuously improve recruitment processes, tools, and best practices while maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications – Must-Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline, or equivalent recruitment experience.

  • Experience managing the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, interviewing, candidate assessment, and offer management.
  • Strong sourcing experience using LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, networking, and other talent attraction strategies.
  • Excellent customer service, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience conducting behavioural interviews and candidate assessments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple recruitment assignments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment technologies.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience recruiting within the energy, engineering, utilities, or technical sectors.
  • Knowledge of recruitment marketing and employer branding strategies.
  • Experience using recruitment analytics and hiring metrics to improve recruitment performance.
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional HR teams and senior business leaders.
  • Strong understanding of diversity and inclusive recruitment practices.
