Senior Building Technologist

Matchbox Consulting is searching for a Senior Building Technologist for our client, a medium sized firm that provides high quality Architecture, Interior Design and Planning. They specialize in commercial, mixed use, tech industrial, and bio-medical projects. They offer competitive salaries and an excellent benefits package.
 

Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed architectural drawings and plans using Revit software.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to ensure design specifications are met.
• Conduct site visits to gather information and assess project feasibility.
• Prepare and present technical reports, including building code compliance and material specifications.
• Assist in project management tasks such as budgeting and scheduling.
• Stay updated on industry regulations and trends to ensure designs meet standards.
• Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot design issues and propose innovative solutions.
• Coordinate with construction teams to oversee implementation of architectural designs.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and revisions.

Requirements: 

• Minimum of 5 years of experience working in Canada
• Proficiency in Revit
• Working knowledge of BC Building Code
• Capability to prepare full drawing packages for DP, BP, and IFC
• Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written
