Matchbox Consulting Group is partnering with one of Vancouver’s most iconic and prolific real estate developers — a name synonymous with the city’s skyline — looking for a High Rise Estimator to serve as the lead estimating voice on their team.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Lead all estimating activity across high-rise residential and mixed-use development projects from early concept through to tender.
• Prepare detailed, comprehensive cost estimates and tenders across all divisions of work.
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes for accuracy, completeness, and scope coverage.
• Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to develop thorough scopes of work.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Vancouver’s key subcontractors, trades, and suppliers.
• Partner closely with project management, development, and design teams to ensure estimates reflect execution realities.
• Identify risk, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving alternatives throughout the bid and pre-construction process.
• Drive bid strategy and develop competitive, defensible pricing approaches.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• 10+ years of estimating experience in construction, with significant exposure to high-rise residential or large-scale mixed-use projects strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to lead and own the estimating function. 
• Deep understanding of the Vancouver subcontractor and trades landscape.
• Strong ability to read and interpret complex construction drawings and specifications.
• Highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Confident working directly with senior stakeholders and development leadership.
• Proficiency in industry-standard estimating software and Microsoft Office.
