MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer to join our client in Edmonton, AB.  

Our client is a mechanical engineering company with 10 years of experience providing consulting services to the construction sector in western Canada. They specialize in the design and engineering of mechanical building systems, encompassing heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing and drainage, as well as fire protection systems. Since their establishment, they have successfully engineered more than 400 diverse projects, serving both private and public sectors.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for authenticating engineered drawings at this level and higher.
• Managing smaller projects and teams with supervision, assisting senior colleagues in larger, more complex projects.
• Performing complex technical work independently, contributing to design decisions.
• Conducting self-performed QA/QC reviews for own work and that of others within their skillset to ensure successful project completion on time and on budget.
• Providing mentorship and guidance to junior colleagues, actively promoting the firm's culture, and communicating effectively with all staff levels to ensure understanding of information.
• Liaising with clients and owners to meet project needs through high-level service.

• Over 5 years of experience required (P.Eng not mandatory)
• Must possess relevant Mechanical Engineering experience, preferably working on hospitals, schools, rec centres, and other related projects.  
• High proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
