MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Sr Mechanical Engineer on behalf of our client in Vancouver. They are an established engineering firm known for their expertise in providing innovative and sustainable solutions across a wide range of sectors, including civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering. With a track record of successful projects and a commitment to client satisfaction, our client continues to be a trusted leader in the industry.
This individual will provide technical expertise on projects, act as a mentor to Junior Engineers, and work with others to increase the overall technical capability regarding projects.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a Relationship Manager or Technical Specialist, ensuring timely completion of projects for clients.
- Plan and review resource-intensive projects, setting operating standards for efficient project execution.
- Maintain technical competence, mentor team members, and contribute to enhancing the overall technical capability within the service line.
- Identify and submit projects for technical awards, collaborate to secure large multi-company projects.
- Adhere to safety policies, stay updated on industry changes, and pursue necessary certifications, including the potential for a Federal security clearance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant experience, including work with Commercial, Institutional, and Light Industrial buildings.
- P.Eng. status with appropriate provincial association
- Proficiency with AutoCAD a Revit
- Need to be able to face the clients, part of expectations and not negotiable
- Experience leading and mentoring Junior Engineers
