Senior Site Superintendent

MatchBox Consulting is seeking an experienced and reliable Superintendent to oversee the day-to-day operations of our construction projects in Downtown Vancouver. This role is critical in ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. As a Superintendent, you will be responsible for managing the construction site, supervising subcontractors, ensuring safety compliance, and providing leadership to the project team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring work is being completed according to schedule and specifications.

• Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, laborers, and other on-site staff.

• Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations, maintaining a safe work environment at all times.

• Conduct regular inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with design and building codes.

• Manage daily logistics on-site and address any issues that may arise, including delays, quality control, and safety concerns.

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to resolve any project-related challenges.

• Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the construction team.

• Maintain detailed records of daily activities, site progress, and any incidents.

• Ensure project documentation is completed accurately and on time.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry, preferably in high-rise or multi-family projects.

• Strong understanding of construction processes, safety standards, and building codes.

• Proven ability to manage on-site teams and subcontractors.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project needs.

• A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.

• Valid BC driver’s license and ability to commute to Downtown Vancouver.

• OSHA or equivalent safety certifications (preferred).
