Senior Software Developer Analyst (C# ASP.NET)

MatchBox Consulting Group is currently seeking a Senior Software Developer Analyst for a 6-month contract role with a client of ours located in Burnaby (Hybrid set-up-2 days per week on-site and 3 days remote).

Pay Rate: $60 to $70/hr

Key Responsibilities:

• Leads design, development and documentation of a complex and comprehensive product suite.
• Provides technical direction, participates in hiring and coaching developers.
• Develops an in-depth understanding of our applications and provides ideas to improve them.
• Participates in the creation and review of architectural designs.
• Develops and conducts unit, integration, performance and regression testing.
• Participates in all Scrum activities such as Backlog Grooming, Sprint Planning, Sprint demos, Retrospectives, etc.
• Scopes and estimates work.
• Troubleshoots production issues
• Carries out other related tasks and projects as agreed upon by team.
• Relentlessly seeks out continuous improvement opportunities.

Must Haves
 

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in code integration within application development and Full-Stack development.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with the following technologies:
• Frontend:  React, Next.js, HTLM5, CSS3, SASS, mobile responsive, Javascript (jquery, AJAX)
• Backend: Amazon Web Services (authentication, gateway API,  RDS, EC2, WAF),  C# .Net Framework 4.8 and .NET Core, ASP.Net MVC, RESTful web services (web application architecture, WebAPI), 3rd party SaaS integration (Auth0, Google Analytics, Apple and Google services)
• Database: MS SQL, NoSQL DBs
• Architecture: Microservices pattern, Model View Controller
• Experience in building and managing distributed event-driven systems using tools such as Kafka
• Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes for application deployment and management
• DevSecOps: Security scan, penetration tests, Azure DevOps, Application performance monitoring
• Familiar and comfortable with working in an Agile/DevOps development environment.
• Experience working with Jira Cloud, Jira Server and Confluence is an asset.
• Knowledge of SDLC and all stages of SDLC.
