MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Site Superintendent for a highly successful, well-established General Contractor and Construction Manager. With over 50 years of industry experience and among the top 5 general contractors in British Columbia, our client has completed hundreds of high and low-rise residential, commercial, institutional, and light industrial projects including those that are LEED certified.

The successful Site Superintendent will be working on an exciting mixed-use concrete high rise project in Metro Vancouver.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure project materials are supplied and work is completed in compliance with the project quality program
• Develop, maintain and drive the construction schedule in conjunction with project team, ensuring project milestones and completion dates are met
• Maintain a thorough daily report that accurately tracks site progress, events, inspections and other relevant information
• Monitor and manage the project budget, minimizing costs while upholding the highest quality

Requirements:

• Progressive experience in the construction industry working for a general contractor or developer
• 3+ years of experience as a primary Superintendent
• Excellent communication skills
• Expert technical knowledge with a thorough understanding of local construction processes and Building codes
• Proactive management style, identifying potential issues and initiating solutions
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Must have basic computer skills including MS Office programs including MS Project
