Senior Systems Administrator / Senior Unified communication Specialist

MatchBox Consulting Group is urgently searching for a Senior Unified Communication Specialist for one of their Managed Service Provider clients who specialize in Infrastructure related projects.

This role is a hybrid role (3 days in office and 2 days at home per week)  in Surrey, BC

Base Salary: $100k to $115K

Responsibilities:

• This role will be serving as a Unified Communications Messaging and Mobility Expert with both operations and design engineering responsibilities for the MS Windows Infrastructure environment, including an emphasis on Microsoft Exchange 2016/Online, Mobile Intune, etc.
• Work closely with both IT and business partners to design and implement solutions supporting business needs
• Ability to build, secure and maintain customer Azure / O365 Infrastructure and Operations including Exchange online in hybrid mode and MS Teams.
• Ability to manage Skype 2019 with enterprise voice.
• Analyze service incidents and problems, identify risks, provide recommendations, and implement solutions.
• •Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of collaboration system and enterprise voice infrastructure policies, standards and diagrams
• Provide guidance in the completion of health checks and performance and capacity reporting.
• Ability to manage large and critical project and deliver them on-time and on-budget
• Take ownership of all assigned tasks and drive to resolution, researching and escalating to vendor as necessary.
• Act as a subject matter expert and mentor to other team members, as assigned, and to develop internal certification criteria and curriculum.

Requirements:

• A Computer Science degree or equivalent in real-world experience.
• A superior knowledge of Microsoft Azure, O365, InTune and Cloud Computing
• Solid understanding of Exchange on-line and hybrid setup.
• Experience with Skype 2019 and MS-Teams including the migration process
• Good experience with PowerShell scripting for both Active Directory and Exchange
• A superior understanding of Windows 10 and Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022 and to be able to analyze and troubleshoot complex problems.
• In depth understanding of local and Azure Active Directory Infrastructure, DNS, DHCP, Clustering services, Windows Security, deployment services, DFS and other Microsoft Infrastructure services.
• An understanding and experience setting up and utilizing disaster recovery solutions. SRM experience is an asset.
• Good to have experience with SCCM
