MatchBox is seeking a Site Superintendent – Commercial Construction (Victoria, BC)

An established and growing commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to lead a tenant improvement project in Victoria, BC. This is a high-visibility role with strong potential for ongoing work as the company continues to expand its footprint on Vancouver Island.

This opportunity is ideal for a Superintendent who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality projects from the ground up.

The Opportunity

You will be the on-site leader responsible for driving execution, coordinating trades, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and on budget. The initial assignment is a ~$2M tenant improvement project for a major financial institution, with exposure to a broader pipeline of commercial work ranging from $1M–$35M.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead all on-site construction activities from mobilization through closeout
• Coordinate trades, suppliers, and site logistics to maintain schedule and flow
• Partner closely with Project Managers to align on budget, schedule, and client expectations
• Act as the primary on-site contact for clients, consultants, and stakeholders
• Manage site documentation, reporting, and change orders using tools like Procore
• Monitor project performance, identify efficiencies, and control costs

What We’re Looking For

• 5–10+ years of commercial construction experience, ideally in a Superintendent capacity
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and quality control
• Proven ability to manage trades and run a clean, organized site
• Confident communicator who can build trust with clients and teams
• Comfortable with construction tech (Procore, SiteDocs, etc.)
• Able to work full-time on-site in Victoria, BC
