MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Organizational Change Manager on behalf of our client for a long-term contract supporting a major enterprise transformation program. This role will focus primarily on change management within the Supply Chain function, supporting a large-scale, multi-location transformation and working as part of an established OCM team.
The successful candidate will bring significant change management experience, including direct Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, or Materials Management transformation experience. This is a senior specialist role requiring someone who can quickly understand complex business changes, work closely with functional teams, support senior stakeholders, and help drive readiness and adoption across a large organization.
- Location: Calgary, AB – Hybrid (Monday, Tuesday & Thursday onsite; Wednesday & Friday remote)
- Job Type: 22 Months
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week
- Travel: Minimal – approximately 1–2 trips during the engagement
Responsibilities
- Support organizational change activities for a major enterprise transformation, with primary responsibility for the Supply Chain workstream.
- Partner closely with Supply Chain stakeholders to understand business, process, system, and organizational changes.
- Conduct and support change impact assessments, stakeholder analysis, readiness activities, and adoption planning.
- Translate complex transformation impacts into clear, practical change actions for affected teams.
- Support stakeholder engagement and change conversations with leaders, including senior and VP-level stakeholders.
- Work alongside program leadership and other change managers to ensure consistent messaging and coordinated change activities.
- Apply established organizational change management tools, processes, and methodologies throughout the program.
- Support communications, stakeholder engagement, readiness, training, and other change deliverables as required.
- Identify change risks, resistance, dependencies, and adoption challenges and work with the broader team to address them.
- Collaborate with functional teams, business leaders, SMEs, system integration partners, and offshore delivery resources.
- Share best practices and lessons learned with other change professionals supporting different functional areas.
- Support a large, complex transformation spanning multiple locations, stakeholder groups, and business functions.
Qualifications – Must-Haves
-
15+ years of dedicated Organizational Change Management experience, ideally at a senior or specialist level.
- Direct change management experience within Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, or Materials Management – required.
- Demonstrated experience supporting large-scale, complex transformation programs across multiple locations and/or countries.
- Experience developing and executing change activities within a Supply Chain business function, with specific projects and deliverables demonstrated in employment history.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and experience supporting conversations with senior leadership.
- Comfortable operating as part of a larger, established change management team rather than solely as an independent change lead.
- Strong communication, facilitation, relationship-building, and change impact assessment skills.
- Ability to quickly understand complex business processes and translate changes into practical impacts for stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced transformation environment with multiple workstreams and dependencies.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada without employer sponsorship.
- Able to work onsite in Calgary Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
Nice-to-Haves
-
Energy, utilities, pipeline, or oil & gas industry experience.
- Previous experience supporting SAP or S/4HANA transformation programs.
- Experience supporting both Supply Chain and HR-related transformation.
- Prosci or equivalent Change Management certification.
- Experience working with system integrators and offshore delivery teams.
- Previous experience within a large, geographically dispersed organization.
