Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance tasks as directed by the Resident Services Manager, including calling in sub-trades when necessary.
• Address building maintenance requests from residents promptly and professionally, covering minor electrical, plumbing, hardware, drywall, and general repairs.
• Conduct regular walkthroughs of the property, identifying and reporting issues to management, especially for major concerns.
• Inspect and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment, ensuring all systems are operational and safe.
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining the building's exterior and grounds, including snow removal and applying ice melt as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, service requests, and maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Requirements

• Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and basic computer skills 
• Knowledge of building codes, including the Residential Tenancy Act and Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
• Experience with building systems and general repairs.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines consistently.
