MatchBox Consulting Group is currently seeking a Junior or Intermediate Architectural Technologist to join our esteemed architecture client in Vancouver, BC. The primary focus of this role is to provide crucial support in front-end design, making it an excellent opportunity for intern architects as well who are seeking front-end hours. Candidates with project experience in wood-frame and multi-family settings are highly valued.

Ideally, we are seeking applicants with a minimum of 3 years of Canadian experience in the architecture industry, coupled with proficiency in Photoshop, Sketchup, AutoCAD, and graphic presentation skills. Responsibilities

• Experience in design development and translating concept designs into development permit drawings.
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Sketchup, CAD, and graphic presentation, with Revit skills considered advantageous.
• Ability to create construction details consistent with concept designs, enhancing project assets.
• Comprehensive understanding of sustainable design and familiarity with BC Building Code Part 3 and ASHRAE 90.1.
• Strong interpersonal skills, adept at coordinating with clients, consultants, and municipal staff

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Canadian architecture industry experience, specializing in wood frame multi-family projects, including rezoning and development permit set assembly, and municipal coordination.
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Sketchup, CAD, and graphic presentation, demonstrating a strong foundation in design software.
• Experience with building permit/working drawings and Revit, though not mandatory, would be advantageous.
