MatchBox Consulting Group is searching for a BIM Specialist in Vancouver, BC. Our client is a Mechanical engineering consulting firm. Founded in 2005, they’ve grown their footprint across Western Canada, maintaining multiple offices and a committed team of over 170 employees. Their offices collaboratively function, promoting a culture of shared knowledge, expertise exchange, and efficient resource utilization.

Within this role, you will collaborate with project teams to assist in model setup and management, attend BIM meetings, conduct drawing reviews, provide modeling support, execute clash detection, and utilize BIM360/Autodesk Construction Cloud. Proficiency with BIM360/Autodesk Construction Cloud and a preference for working in a collaborative team environment are essential. Success in this role requires strong communication and organizational skills, along with a proactive attitude and creative thinking.

Responsibilities

• Manage BIM models throughout projects using BIM360/Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Coordinate initial models across disciplines and attend BIM meetings.
• Review and audit models and drawings for quality.
• Conduct clash detection and collaborate with teams using BIM360/Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Offer technical support for BIM software and related tools.
• Establish and implement BIM standards with BIM360/Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Assist in developing and delivering BIM training.
• Provide modeling support as required.
• Adhere to company quality management standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology.
• 6+ years' experience in BIM coordination, modeling, and clash detection using BIM360/Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Demonstrate expertise in BIM software, including Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
• Lead BIM coordination meetings, providing guidance to project teams.
• Exhibit clear, concise communication skills and collaborate effectively within a team and independently, staying current on construction processes and methods.
