The primary focus of these roles is post-award contract management and administration, making them well suited to experienced contract professionals who are comfortable managing complex supplier relationships, contractual obligations, commercial issues, and contract performance. Candidates should also bring an understanding of the full contract lifecycle, including pre-award activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complex contracts throughout the contract lifecycle, with a strong emphasis on post-award contract administration.
- Monitor supplier and contractor performance and ensure contractual obligations are being met.
- Identify and resolve contractual issues, risks, and performance concerns in a timely manner.
- Work closely with suppliers, project teams, stakeholders, and cross-functional groups.
- Manage contract changes, commercial matters, and ongoing contractual requirements.
- Forecast, monitor, and report on contract usage, financial controls, and budget requirements.
- Provide guidance to project teams on the sourcing, procurement, and management of goods and services contracts.
- Maintain productive supplier relationships while protecting project and contractual objectives.
- Support contracts associated with complex projects and ongoing operations.
Required Qualifications
- Significant professional experience in contract management and administration at a senior level.
- Strong post-award contract management experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing the full contract lifecycle, including both pre-award and post-award activities.
- Strong understanding of contract performance, commercial risk, contractual obligations, and supplier management.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional project and stakeholder groups.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Economics, or a related discipline, or equivalent.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Candidates must be located in the Lower Mainland and able to attend the Burnaby office 2–3 days per week.
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting major equipment, infrastructure, engineering, construction, or capital projects.
- Previous experience within a regulated utility or similarly complex organization.
- Experience coordinating contracts or projects across multiple locations.
- Project Management or Supply Chain Management certification.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence.
This is a strong opportunity for experienced contract professionals who enjoy the hands-on commercial and post-award side of contract management and want to support complex, high-value infrastructure and project environments.
