Digital Content Specialist
Location: Vancouver, BC
Duration: 6-Month Contract
Work Arrangement: Hybrid
MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Digital Content Specialist to support one of British Columbia’s largest utility providers. This role will provide digital content strategy, stakeholder engagement, project coordination, and content operations support across a range of customer-facing digital channels.
The successful candidate will bring strong experience with web and email content, digital content strategy, information architecture, stakeholder consultation, and content governance, along with excellent writing, editing, and project coordination skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide digital content strategy and operational support across web, email, mobile, social, e-newsletters, and other digital channels.
- Consult with stakeholders and internal clients to understand digital content needs and recommend effective solutions.
- Conduct content reviews and develop recommendations to improve user experience, clarity, usability, and consistency.
- Support information architecture and content governance activities.
- Coordinate digital content projects from planning through implementation.
- Manage and prioritize content requests from multiple stakeholders.
- Implement and coordinate web content updates and publishing activities.
- Develop, copywrite, review, and edit digital content for web, email, and other customer-facing channels.
- Help ensure digital content aligns with accessibility requirements, digital best practices, and established content standards.
- Support content planning and campaign execution from brief stage through delivery.
- Collaborate with internal teams, agencies, and creative services partners.
- Support visual content initiatives and coordinate development of digital assets where required.
- Use analytics and performance data to identify trends, inform content recommendations, and support decision-making.
- Maintain project tracking tools and provide progress updates as required.
- Manage multiple projects, priorities, and stakeholder requests simultaneously.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a customer service-oriented digital role.
- Strong writing, editing, and copywriting skills.
- Strong experience working across multiple digital content platforms, particularly web and email.
- Demonstrated experience developing digital content strategies.
- Experience with content information architecture.
- Experience consulting with clients and providing guidance on digital content solutions.
- Strong stakeholder relationship management skills.
- Strong project management and coordination capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and competing stakeholder requests.
- Experience using analytics and data to support content strategy and decision-making.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with mobile app content and digital experiences.
- Experience collaborating with creative services teams on visual content and digital assets.
- Previous experience working within a digital marketing agency environment.
- Diploma in Marketing Management.
- Canadian Marketing Association accreditation or equivalent.
- Additional relevant coursework through organizations such as ACA, BCAMA, IAB, or similar.
