Finishing Superintendent

Matchbox Consulting is seeking a Finishing Superintendent for a renowned BC developer. With a rich history spanning 50 years, our client is celebrated for creating exceptional residential communities across the Lower Mainland.

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervision and Planning:

  • Oversee interior details from window stage to completion.
  • Provide direction to site personnel, ensuring adherence to sequence flow.
  • Plan and implement schedules on a floor-by-floor basis.

• Quality Control and Coordination:

  • Enforce strict quality standards for finishing work.
  • Coordinate interior finishing sub-trades and monitor performance.
  • Ensure compliance with Safety Policies, Occupational Health and Safety, and WCB requirements.

• Project Completion:

  • Oversee finishing-related tasks for project readiness.
  • Assemble project closeout documents, including O&M manuals, as-builts, and warranties.
  • Obtain all certificates and final inspections before project closeout.

• Communication and Meetings:

  • Foster clear communication among stakeholders.
  • Lead daily/weekly interior trade meetings and participate in project team meetings.

Qualifications & Knowledge:

• Experience:

  • 5+ years as a Finishing Superintendent in concrete high-rise, multi-family, or mixed-use projects.

• Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a diligent work ethic.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive problem-solving and adaptability to changing conditions.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including MS Project.
