MatchBox Consulting Group is looking for an Interior Designer in Edmonton. Our client is dedicated to architecture, urban planning, and interior design, with a focus on crafting buildings and environments that engage and benefit the community. Their projects span commercial, institutional, industrial, residential, and recreational domains, aiming to foster interaction and serve diverse needs.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with architects, intern architects, architectural technologists, contract administrators, and designers within a studio setting.
- Coordinate with external consultants and authorities having jurisdiction across various projects.
- Demonstrate self-motivation and the ability to work independently, while effectively communicating with team members.
- Manage multiple workflows efficiently. The ideal candidate will be offered a full-time position with company benefits, along with opportunities for professional development and career progression.
Requirements
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience, preferably with an architecture firm in Canada, on a variety of projects and building types.
- Graduate of an accredited Interior Design program.
- Advanced knowledge of design principles and the ability to interpret design concepts and layouts, including commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the profession.
- Functional working knowledge of Revit, Sketchup and AutoCAD.
- Developed knowledge of and experience with the Alberta Building Code and National Building Code.
- Experience managing interior design projects from start to finish.
