MatchBox Consulting Group is on the hunt for an Intermediate Interior Designer in Vancouver, BC. Our client is a renowned architectural firm known for its innovative and sustainable designs, specializing in commercial and residential projects. With a track record of delivering exceptional architectural solutions, they blend creativity with functionality to create spaces that inspire.

The Interior Designer will collaborate closely with architects to craft harmonious and functional spaces that complement the firm’s innovative architectural designs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects to align interior design concepts with project goals and architectural vision.
• Develop detailed interior design plans, including layouts, material selections, and color schemes.
• Source and specify furniture, fixtures, and accessories to enhance space aesthetics and functionality.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders for successful implementation of interior design elements.
• Oversee installation and styling, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
• Communicate with clients to present proposals, gather feedback, and address revisions effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in interior design, preferably within architectural or design firms.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong understanding of architectural principles and spatial design concepts.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for multidisciplinary teamwork.
• Knowledgeable in building codes, regulations, and sustainability principles.
• Attention to detail and a passion for creative and innovative design.
