MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Land Development Engineering Designer to join our client in Calgary.  

Our client specializes in civil engineering and project management for the land development and capital works sector. With a seasoned leadership team serving the local industry for over 30 years, they offer a customized approach for residential, commercial, industrial, and capital works clients. From initial concept designs to project completion, they provide integrated solutions, delivering optimal results for every client and project.

Responsibilities: 

• Lead conceptual and detailed design for municipal infrastructure expansion, site plans, and cost estimating.
• Manage engineering analysis, reporting, and approval processes.
• Prepare tenders, administer contracts, and oversee construction phases for land development and capital works projects.
• Generate detailed design drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D for various municipal engineering aspects.
• Develop Erosion and Sediment Control (ESC) plans and alternate designs as needed.
• Coordinate site inspections, analyze topographic information, and compile project documentation, including quantity take-offs, cost estimates, reports, and correspondence.

• Over 5 years of experience in designing for lot grading, roadways, sewers, and water systems in Land Development and Municipal projects in Calgary.
• Proficient in creating construction drawings and coordinating design within multidisciplinary teams.
• Specialized focus on large-scale commercial and masterplan community projects.
• Holds a Diploma in Civil Engineering or Engineering Design and Drafting Technology.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D for design work.
• Possesses experience and knowledge in CCC & FAC, integral phases of the subdivision process.
