MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our client in Victoria, Vancouver, or Kelowna, BC.

Responsibilities: 

• Stay informed about the latest technological advancements in engineering.
• Conduct client meetings and prepare various documents such as correspondence, reports, specifications, and meeting minutes.
• Foster effective communication with clients, developers, consultants, agencies, and the public, either working alongside the principal-in-charge or independently representing the practice.
• Take the lead in the design and construction administration process for assigned projects, overseeing activities from Schematic Design to Project Close-out.
• Provide direction to staff, including assigning and reviewing work, as well as offering guidance on technical challenges.
• Establish and uphold project criteria through collaborative team communication, monitor internal budgets, and track project delivery schedules.

Requirements: 

• Minimum 4+ years of experience in mechanical HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection, covering design, project management, and client relations.
• Proficient in industry software, including Revit, AutoCAD, IESve, HAP, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical, communication, and report writing skills, with the ability to gather information and prepare comprehensive reports.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, facilitating effective relationships with employees, clients, colleagues, and municipal agencies.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments, navigate conflicting priorities, and make sound engineering decisions.
• Possession of P.Eng. certification, or eligible to be certified in the near future.
