Our client, a premier property owner and developer in Downtown Vancouver, is seeking a skilled Journeyman Plumber to join their in-house maintenance team. This role is ideal for independent and self-motivated professionals. The position includes potential access to a company work van, equipped with all necessary tools, and offers competitive hourly wages, comprehensive medical and dental benefits, paid vacation, and a steady Monday-to-Friday work schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Perform regular maintenance and repairs on plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings.
• Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures.
• Respond promptly to plumbing emergencies.
• Adhere to safety standards and building codes during maintenance and installation tasks.
• Work collaboratively on large-scale plumbing projects with the maintenance team.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, inventory, and supply orders.
• Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with property occupants.
• Inspect properties for preventative maintenance and potential plumbing issues.
• Manage and organize tools and equipment in the company-provided work van.
• Continually update skills and knowledge in plumbing technologies and practices.

Requirements:

• Valid Journeyman Plumber certification.
• Experience in plumbing maintenance and repair.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Physical fitness to handle demanding tasks, including lifting heavy equipment.
• Availability for emergency call-outs as needed.
• Clean driving record for use of company work van.
• Comprehensive knowledge of building codes and safety regulations in plumbing.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development in the plumbing field.
