The Production Shift Supervisor will lead a team within a continuous production environment and help drive safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows how to manage experienced crews, make decisions under pressure, and keep production moving when priorities change. You’ll oversee a small team across production, maintenance, and quality while working closely with plant leadership to maintain safety, quality, and production targets. Apply today!

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of approximately six employees across process operations, maintenance, and quality functions.
  • Provide day-to-day direction and hold employees accountable for safety, performance, schedules, and operating procedures.
  • Monitor production operations and identify abnormal conditions, equipment issues, and process concerns.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams to assess breakdowns, prioritize repairs, and minimize production downtime.
  • Conduct daily safety talks, FLRAs, inspections, and follow-up on safety actions.
  • Support quality control activities and follow up on process improvements.
  • Maintain accurate shift reports, work orders, repair updates, and other production documentation.

  • Maintain plant security and oversee access, visitors, material movement, and other off-hours activities.
  • Ensure all operations comply with company health, safety, environmental, and operating standards.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of supervisory experience in a unionized manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience leading teams in a heavy industrial, manufacturing, or continuous-process operation.

  • Experience conducting safety talks, FLRAs, inspections, or similar safety activities.
  • Ability to work a 4-on/4-off rotating schedule with 12-hour day and night shifts.
  • College diploma or university degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship.
