Looking to elevate your career in health and safety? MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Health & Safety Coordinator to join our client's team. In this role, you'll play a vital part in our company's growth by developing and maintaining safety systems across our operations. Reporting to our Chief Safety Officer, you'll ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with our high standards. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Spearhead initiatives to instill a culture of safety excellence throughout the organization.
• Conduct comprehensive site audits to assess compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Propose innovative solutions to address safety gaps and enhance workplace safety.
• Deliver engaging training sessions to educate employees on safety protocols and procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective safety policies and programs.
• Investigate incidents and near misses, and develop actionable recommendations for prevention.
• Maintain accurate records of safety-related documentation and communication logs.
• Lead by example and actively promote a proactive approach to safety among all stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in a safety-related role, preferably in the ICI construction sector
• COR auditing experience is preferred
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
• Proven track record of driving safety improvements and fostering a safety-conscious culture.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Passion for promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
