MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Architectural Designer to join our client in Vancouver.
With over 40 years of experience in Western Canada, our client is a leading design firm known for their excellence in retail, residential, mixed-use, office, and senior health-care projects. Currently engaged in large-scale endeavors, their commitment to high-quality design and sustainable principles sets them apart. Operating from offices in Vancouver and Victoria, their team thrives in an open-concept environment, fostering continuous communication and a tight-knit, family-like atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
- Take the lead in Schematic Design and Design Development of a project.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including clients, engineers, contractors, and urban planners.
- Ensure that designs adhere to local building codes, regulations, and zoning requirements.
- Find creative solutions that address challenges and design constraints.
- Mentor junior architects and designers.
Requirements:
- 8 years’ relevant architectural and design experience in the Canadian Architectural Industry.
- Graduate of a certified Building Technology or Architectural program in a professionally recognized institution.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Sketchup.
- Multi-disciplinary experience, ideally high-rises, townhomes, mixed-use residential and multi-family residential.
- Demonstrated expertise in building technology including wood frame, steel and concrete construction.
- Excellent communication and presenting skills.
