MatchBox Consulting Group is looking for a Senior Architectural Project Manager in Victoria, BC. Our client is an architectural services consulting firm. For over 40 years, they’ve been a trusted partner of developers and construction professionals providing architectural, planning, and interior design services for projects located across Western Canada. Dedicated to excellence, creativity, and sustainability, they’re recognized for their expertise in retail, residential, mixed-use, commercial, and senior health-care projects. 

Responsibilities

• Proficiency in building technology encompassing wood frame, steel, and concrete construction methods.
• Ability to balance design aesthetics with practicality and efficiency in producing working drawings.
• Versatile skill set enabling independent project management.
• Thorough knowledge of BC Building Code Part 3 and ASHRAE 90.1, with familiarity with NECB considered advantageous.
• Understanding of sustainable design principles, familiarity with municipal approval processes, and experience in construction services and field reviews.

Requirements

• Completion of a certified Building Technology or Architectural program from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrated 5-10 years of pertinent experience within the Canadian Architectural Industry (Experience in BC is advantageous).
• Proven track record of 5 years in project management, overseeing team coordination throughout design and construction documentation phases.
• Versatile expertise across multiple disciplines, particularly in townhomes, mixed-use residential, and multi-family residential projects, encompassing both new constructions and renovations.
• Proficiency in BC building codes and regulations.
