Matchbox Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Architectural Technologist on behalf of our client- a dynamic architectural firm located in Victoria with a full range of architectural services in residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects.
This individual will mainly be responsible for working on construction drawings, construction documentation, code reviews, detailing, and issues to tender drawings. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in production of drawings through Revit models. Over 8 years’ of relevant experience in the Architectural Industry with demonstrated expertise in building technology including wood frame, multifamily residential projects and commercial projects (office or retail)
Demonstrated experience in leading production of drawings through Revit models for various project types
Ability to manage priorities and meet tight deadlines for multiple projects concurrently
Ability to effectively coordinate with clients, consultants, and municipal staff
Experience with mentoring junior technologists
Advanced skills in Revit and high level of proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp
Experienced with detailing and solid understanding of sustainable design considerations
Familiarity with municipal approvals processes
In-depth knowledge of the BC Building Code Part 3 and Part 9, and ASHRAE 90.1 (understanding of NECB would be an asset)
Completion of a certified Building Technology or Architectural program in a professionally recognized institution
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and in a project team setting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
