MatchBox Consulting Group is looking for a Senior Interior Designer in Calgary, AB. Our client is a multi-disciplinary firm with Architects, Interior Designers, and Master Planners, working in Western Canada. They have a proven track record of excellence in sustainable projects, and work on a variety of typologies such as: Civic & Culture, Education, Emergency services, Healthcare & Seniors, Office & Workplace, Public Works & Operations, Multifamily & Mixed-Use, Retail, Sports & Recreation, and Urban Planning Policy.

Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain project schedules, work plans, and EVA’s, while also preparing client fee letters and schedules.
• Schedule work assignments, delegate tasks, and confirm understanding of timelines with project team members.
• Lead site verifications, programming analysis, space planning, preliminary code studies, and client meetings.
• Develop design concepts, furniture specifications, and coordinate with consultants/vendors.
• Manage large-scale projects independently, oversee project team activities and communicate progress to leads.
• Mentor intermediate design staff and provides support across various tasks for project and firm success.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in Interior Design
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma from CIDA accredited post-secondary institute
• Understanding of building code, integrated projects, structural, mechanical, and electrical systems
• Knowledge of building components, construction methods, sequencing, design and construction processes, contract documents, details, specifications, finish specifications, materials applications, graphic/visualization, and hand sketching
• Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, InDesign, Sketch-Up, Photoshop
