MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer in Calgary or Edmonton, AB!

Our client designs the systems that provide buildings with heating, cooling, plumbing, and fire protection. Their work ensures spaces are comfortable, efficient, and safe for occupants.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee HVAC and plumbing design for projects.
• Supervise and mentor mechanical designers and engineers.
• Prepare and review design documentation (schematic design, development reports, construction drawings, specifications).
• Ensure coordination between disciplines and adherence to codes/standards.
• Assist with contract administration, including reviewing shop drawings and RFIs.
• Provide peer review and quality assurance for project deliverables.

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in HVAC and plumbing system design
• Knowledge of building codes and standards
• Software proficiency: AutoCAD, REVIT, Bluebeam
