Matchbox Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Project Manager for a high quality, well-established design-build General Contractor and Construction Manager. With over 50 years of industry experience, our client has completed over 2000 projects in commercial, institutional, education, government, healthcare to name a few. 

The successful Senior Project Manager will be working on several projects throughout British Columbia.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in new project sales meetings with potential clients with BD lead
• Prepare, monitor and update construction schedules and job costs
• Prepare, maintain, and update project files
• Manage owner and consultant-initiated change notices and change orders
• Request pricing from subcontractors for change notices and process subcontractor change orders
• Receive, review and process shop drawings
• Set up and attend site subcontractor coordination meetings and take minutes and distribute to all parties
• Set up and attend Owner / Consultant meetings and take minutes and distribute to all parties
• Assist the Project Estimator in preparing estimates when required
• Review and approve subcontractor monthly progress draw
• Prepare monthly progress claims and submit to the Owner for payment
• Prepare monthly project forecasting
• Ensure the Site Superintendent has all up to date project documents including drawings, specifications, subcontracts, schedules, and change orders
• Work closely with Superintendent to ensure overall coordination of the project

Requirements:

• 8+ years previous Project Management experience working on diverse projects
• University or college diploma in a relevant construction/engineering program
• Integrated Project Delivery Contract experience an asset
• Excellent computer skills including experience using MS Office, Project, Scheduling and Project Management software
• Sound knowledge in the review and negotiation of contracts for construction projects Strong technical, business, financial and legal acumen
• Must have and maintain a valid provincial driver’s license
• Ability to travel on average once a month to visit sites under construction
