MatchBox Consulting Group is looking for a Site Manager in Kamloops, BC. Our client engages in environmental enterprises with a focus on waste management and initiatives related to greenhouse gas emissions, renewable energy, and equipment leasing.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the position involves close collaboration with on-site personnel and the team in the Kamloops office. Responsibilities include overseeing workflows for landfill operations and construction activities, encompassing tasks such as hiring workers, assigning duties, supervising staff, and providing oversight and direction to contracted services.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee construction and operations, serving as the primary contact.
• Monitor and report landfill conditions for compliance.
• Manage RFP processes, including contract development, and propose improvements in design and operations.
• Communicate issues to the leadership team, conduct quality reviews, and stay current with the latest solid waste management techniques.

REQUIREMENTS:

• A professional background with 5 to 10+ years of experience in the industry.
• Expertise in construction and/or pipeline development.
• Proven track record in managing contractors and teams, with a focus on the more extensive experience spectrum, around 10 years.
• Holds a P. Eng qualification with a significant emphasis on civil engineering.
