Job Title: Assistant Superintendent

Location: Fraser Valley 

On Behalf of our client, Matchbox Consulting is seeking an Assistant Superintendent for a leading development company dedicated to excellence in every aspect of their work. Specializing in delivering high-quality projects across the residential and commercial space this client is ready to start self performing their development projects. This is an exciting opportunity to get in early with the team and become a key driver of their success. 

As an Assistant Superintendent, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the overall success of our construction projects. Working closely with the project management and SR Superintendent, you will assist in overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of construction activities. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the coordination and supervision of construction activities on-site.
• Collaborate with the project management team to develop and implement project plans and schedules.
• Monitor the progress of construction activities and identify areas for improvement or optimization.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and resources.
• Conduct regular site inspections to assess work quality, safety practices, and adherence to project specifications.
• Assist in resolving any issues or conflicts that may arise during the construction process.
• Maintain accurate records of project activities, including daily reports, progress photos, and documentation of site conditions.
• Support the implementation of safety programs and procedures to promote a safe working environment.
• Provide support and guidance to field personnel, including training and development opportunities as needed.

Qualifications:.

• Previous experience in construction project management or field supervision.
• Ability to speak Punjabi fluently considered a strong asset 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and materials.
• Familiarity with construction safety regulations and best practices.
• Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and embrace new challenges.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
