MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Technical Recruiter to join our engineering and technical team in Calgary.

We are seeking a smart, driven, and conscientious recruiter that is looking to grow their recruiting career within Canada's most dynamic and interesting industries – engineering and construction.

We focus on executive and mid-level candidates and our clients are some of Alberta and Canada's best known and most respected companies.

In this role, you will engage candidates as a consultant and seek to understand what motivates people. You will become an industry expert and truly able to direct people in their career.  It takes time and effort and a lot of coffee and lunch meetings, but it is worth it when you help a candidate better his/her life and career. Our candidates are educated, driven, and career-minded professionals and seek us out for advice and consultation on making some of the biggest decisions in their lives.  This is not your typical entry-level recruitment job!

Extensive one-on-one training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• This is a recruitment position, and you will be tasked with identifying, contacting, meeting and putting candidates forward to positions.
• You will utilize and extensive internal database of candidates as well as sourcing external candidates via online databases, referral calls, networking events and research.
• This role will require sales aptitude and cold calling

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in any subject is preferred
• An interest in real estate, engineering and construction
• Recruitment experience is preferred but not mandatory, extensive training will be provided
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
