MatchBox Consulting Group is looking for a Water Resources Engineer in Calgary, AB. The Water Resources Engineer will play a pivotal role in crafting innovative and sustainable solutions tailored to meet the distinct needs of each client.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior staff to identify and pursue water resources project opportunities
- Lead the preparation of technical documents, from feasibility studies to detailed design
- Manage projects, handling proposal preparation, work plans, invoicing, change orders, and budget tracking
- Interact effectively with clients, regulators, and the public as needed
- Prepare formal reports, memos, and briefing notes for various clients
- Track budgets and expenditures for large multi-year projects, presenting summary reports and documents
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering, preferably with water resources experience
- Registered or eligible for registration as a P.Eng. with EGBC and/or APEGA
- 7+ years' experience in water resources and related fields
- Proficient in hydraulic modelling software, hydrologic analysis, flood inundation, and hazard mapping
- Demonstrate expertise in designing, constructing, and inspecting water resource projects
- Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams and effectively convey technical concepts to the public
