Maintenance Engineer

MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking an Engineer to support maintenance planning, operational coordination, and program execution activities for British Columbia’s largest utility and clean energy organization. This hybrid opportunity is based in Burnaby, BC and is ideal for an engineering professional who thrives in fast-paced operational environments.

The successful candidate will support maintenance program execution, SAP governance, reporting, operational coordination, and process improvement initiatives while working closely with Planning, Scheduling, Asset Information Services, Maintenance Engineering, and Program Management teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Support execution and coordination of maintenance and operational programs
• Coordinate SAP maintenance activities, work orders, and change requests
• Monitor maintenance schedules, compliance tracking, and work order progression
• Assist with reporting, data validation, documentation, and program updates
• Coordinate with cross-functional operational and engineering teams
• Support process improvements, maintenance planning initiatives, and operational tracking activities

Must Haves

• Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with valid Permit to Practice (P2P)
• Minimum 4+ years of relevant engineering experience
• University degree in Applied Science or Engineering
• Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills
• Ability to work in fast-paced operational environments with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
• Experience supporting engineering, operational, maintenance, or infrastructure-related activities
• Intermediate proficiency with MS Office applications

Nice to Haves

• Experience with SAP
• Experience with maintenance planning or utility operations
• Experience with asset management or infrastructure-related programs
• Previous utility industry experience considered an asset
