Our client is looking for a Senior SharePoint Architect to build the plan and roadmap of an enterprise migration.
Contract length can be between 3-6 months with flexible hours. Fully remote in Western Canada.
Must have skills:
- 3+ years of hands on SharePoint experiences
- Architecture experiences building roadmap
- Experiences helping migrate legacy systems to SharePoint Online and/or SharePoint OneDrive
Nice to have skills:
- Microsoft Fabric
- Defender
Responsibilities:
- Define and document the end-to-end migration strategy and roadmap for transitioning to Microsoft SharePoint Online, including phased rollout recommendations, timelines, dependencies, and risk mitigation plans.
- Design the target information architecture for SharePoint Online, including site structure, governance model, metadata taxonomy, document lifecycle management, retention policies, and security model.
- Develop governance standards and operational guidelines for SharePoint Online administration, access controls, compliance, versioning, and ongoing platform support.
- Identify integration requirements with existing enterprise systems, such as authentication services, file shares, collaboration tools, and business applications within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
- Provide architectural guidance for modern collaboration capabilities, including document management, intranet functionality, Teams integration, workflow automation, and knowledge management solutions.
